Once a partner successfully processes their license fee payment, the onboarding and digital infrastructure access (including workspace provisioning, templates, and marketing kits) are activated instantly. Because of the digital and proprietary nature of these assets, all license fee payments are final and non-refundable. Badgermint operates as your software licensing provider. When you pay your partner license or activation fees, Badgermint will issue a standard digital invoice for those software costs. However, you (the print shop partner) operate independently as the direct merchant and vendor to your end clients (schools or organizations). You handle all direct commercial billing, sales collections, and local tax compliance with your customers, and you are responsible for issuing your own official sales invoices or receipts directly to them for the physical printing and product fulfillment.
While you retain total pricing freedom over your retail rates, we recommend a minimum card price of $3.50 when offering the smart NFC cards to your school or corporate clients. You are entirely free to increase this price based on your local operational expenses, custom design services, rush fulfillment, or your specific profit margin goals.
While your print shop handles the local physical printing and fulfillment, Badgermint manages the entire cloud software infrastructure, app maintenance, and platform updates. The card activation workflow is straightforward and managed smoothly between you and your client:
Free Registration: Your client (the school or company) asks their students or staff to register for a free account in Badgermint.
Excel Roster Submission: The client compiles and sends these registered emails to your print shop in an Excel spreadsheet.
Print Shop Activation: Your print shop uses this data to program and activate the physical AeonSmart cards.
Note on Attendance Features: If schools or companies wish to use the DailyBadger app for daily attendance tracking, they must maintain a minimum Tier 2 Badgermint subscription (scaled according to their total number of students or members).
